Regulations and technical standards

Nowadays all over the world, before placing a product on the market, it is necessary to certify the conformity of the product to the minimum requirements defined by national, European or international regulations. In some cases, a self-produced technical analysis is permitted, supported by laboratory tests with which it is possible to declare conformity, in other cases it is necessary to go through bodies responsible for issuing certificates, approvals or concessions. In each of these cases the process requires human resources and specific skills. For this reason, over the years Florence Engineering has acquired the necessary experience to follow manufacturing companies also in product certification activities, both for the European market and for the global market, which is usually the last step before the release of a new product and which hides some, often underestimated, pitfalls.
Electrical/electronic products must comply with standards that cover various aspects, ranging from user safety to electromagnetic compatibility, to operating environmental conditions, up to the use of the radio spectrum for devices that emit or receive intentionally radio waves. Not to forget the requirements regarding the use of substances dangerous for humans or the environment.
Florence Engineering provides services for compiling technical files, reports and all the documentation necessary to get certification. It is also able to follow the entire process on behalf of customers, including the laboratory tests necessary for compliance verification.
