<\/div>Integrazione meccanica del modulo RF<\/h5><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/i><\/div><\/i><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>On behalf of IDS GeoRadar \u2013 Part of Hexagon \u2013 and following specifications provided by the latter, Florence Engineering developed a Ku band up-down conversion RF module to be used for radar applications in the geophysical field. The module consists of an aluminum case CNC machined in order to create the slots to guarantee the necessary RF insulation between the various sections. The RF PCB, designed by Florence Engineering, is installed inside the case. The board, which houses the active part of the system, follows the shape of the cavities present in the case in order to create an integrated system. Carrying out this activity required great planning and integration between electronic and mechanical design activities in order to best optimize the available space. As part of this activity, Florence Engineering also performedw the testing of a small pre-series of modules, then used by the customer for the preliminary system integration and for product certification tests. At the end of this activity, the full documentation necessary for the production of the module was transferred to the customer who continued the series production on his own. The developed system has therefore been fully integrated into the final product. Customer currently sells hundreds of pieces per year in all parts of the world, even in installations with critical system reliability requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>other works<\/p>\n<\/div>

Carrying out this activity required great planning and integration between electronic and mechanical design activities in order to best optimize the available space. As part of this activity, Florence Engineering also performedw the testing of a small pre-series of modules, then used by the customer for the preliminary system integration and for product certification tests. At the end of this activity, the full documentation necessary for the production of the module was transferred to the customer who continued the series production on his own. The developed system has therefore been fully integrated into the final product. On behalf of IDS GeoRadar \u2013 Part of Hexagon \u2013 and following specifications provided by the latter, Florence Engineering developed a Ku band up-down conversion RF module to be used for radar applications in the geophysical field. The module consists of an aluminum case CNC machined in order to create the slots to guarantee the necessary RF insulation between the various sections. The RF PCB, designed by Florence Engineering, is installed inside the case. The board, which houses the active part of the system, follows the shape of the cavities present in the case in order to create an integrated system.
