The team of Florence Egineering has large experience in research and development. The founders of the company, during their past activity of researchers at the University of Florence, participated in numerous projects with any kind of national or international partners, such as research institutes, universities or private owned companies.

Consequently the research and development activity has become part of the company's mission. In fact, in its short history, Florence Engineering participated and participates in research and development projects funded locally (POR-CReO 2007-2013 Regione Toscana) and within the EC (FP7, European Commission). The approach was always aimed at obtaining products close to the industrial exploitation. This aim is now a typical requirement established in the guidelines of Horizon 2020.

From several of these projects innovative products have born, that today are part of Florence Engineering's production, in collaboration with other industrial partners.

Currently the company is working as a sub contractor in VOCALGO project, funded by the Region of Tuscany, and as partner in ORFEUS project, funded by the European Commission.
